Pretty Great...if you ask me.....

So while catching up on my blagging I came across a delightful body of work, from an artist who is new to me, Andy Freeberg. I am very interested in this body of work, which reminds me of Thomas Struth very much, but is so completely different. I love thinking about these Russian women who are probably someones adorable grandmother, who is crazy and fantasic. I also envy the amazing pieces of art history which they are literally engulfed by. Pretty great.

recommendations made to me....

i love when people take the time to think about my work, and work that might help me make my work, think about my work, and become a better artist. these ones are pretty interesting in relation to my personal aesthetic....

yes tyler school of art might as well be a pile of garbage, because thats what it is, nothing works. thanks so much to temple university for screwing over my last semester....you guys are really great !

so im trying the whole merging/compositing thing...i think i like it...but it is def still in the mix.

who know deven should be a model ???...or that i should be a fashion photographer ! haha

 the Best opening Ever.... and i work for her! so this past weekend Zoe Strauss had her book signing and massively successful solo show at the Bruce Silverstein gallery in Chelsea.  not only was the show beautiful, but the gallery turned into a dance floor when DJ Cosmo (zoe's brother) started spinning funk/soul/hip-hop/rock&roll classics. here are some photos from the party....

ok so this work was all in a show that i was just in last week. "a retrospective" ended up meaning nothing in terms of what i was asked to do, i just made work that i am into, but rarely have the time to make, so it was nice.
